Mini-Reviews: Commando & In Bruges

Fifty Film challenge on track so far! 7 films in 7 days, which is pretty good. Anyway, here are a couple of mini-reviews.

Commando - Wotched 11/8/09
Documentary charting the kidnap and retrieval of Arnie's daughter. Solid gold, clock-ticking, rocket-launcher toating action. We learn all about the current Governor of California's past life as an elite commando, and many innocents die unnecessarily due to his careless vigilantism. Worth watching.

In Bruges - Wotched 12/8/09
Mad-Eye Moody and Colin Farrell are two hit men hiding out in the fairy tale town of Bruges, Belgium. Good old Colin falls in love with Fleur Delacour, and things get a little sticky when Lord Voldemort shows up. Someone who looks like Professor Snape gets shot at one point too, although it's actually Aberforth Dumbledore (CiarĂ¡n Hinds and Alan Rickman are practically twins). Regardless! Excellent film, highly recommended. Witty, charming, never a dull moment, and I would very much like to go to Bruges and have a gay pint.
